The Company
For the last 30+ years, our client has manufactured purpose built pumping systems designed to their client’s requirements and specifications with a proven reputation of quality, reliability and service, supplying to a wide range of clients in the Mining, Oil & Gas, Construction, Heavy Industry and Utilities industries.
Due to a large increase in workshop activities our client is seeking additional Electrical Trades Assistants to assist Electricians in the manufacture / build of trailer or skid mounted pumping equipment.
Working Days, Hours, Location & Duration
- Working Days: Monday to Friday
- Working Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Overtime: Some Overtime required from time to time
- Location: Canning Vale
- Duration: 3 to 6 months with potential for Temp to Perm
The Role
The work will be focused on assisting Electricians with the manufacture and testing of electrical systems and components used in pumping equipment production. The main areas where the Electrical TA will be working includes;
- Switchboard / Control Panel Build
- Fitting Electrical Components onto Pump Skids & Trailers
- Depending on the successful candidates electrical experience the work tasks may cover;
- Clean, prepare & maintain equipment and work areas
- Liaising with the in-house warehouse team & working off Bill of Materials to secure electrical parts & components required for build jobs
- Getting hand tools, power tools & testing equipment for work activities
- Fitting electrical components onto trailers or skids such as switchboards, small solar panels & electric motors
- Modifying & Fitting cable trays in switchboards or equipment
- Measuring & Running cable from components to switchboards
- Securing cable with fittings
- Assist Electricians in testing electrical systems & working off testing procedures
For more experienced Electrical TA’s there can be Switchboard / Control Panel build work which covers fitting back pans and cable ladders through to fitting electronic components and terminations which may include;
- Working off Single Line Diagrams or Panel Layouts
- Mounting Enclosures & components
- Busbars, Multistage Busbars & Threaded Busbars
- Pushbuttons, Switches & Pilot Lights
- Distribution, Terminal & Control Blocks
- Enclosure cooling components
- Electrical Protection – surge protection devices, circuit breakers fuse & safety switches
- Programmable Controllers – PLC’s or PAC’s
- Relays
- Transformers
- VSD & Soft Starters
- Motor Control components
The Candidate
Our client requires a variety of candidates that possess varying levels of experience, technical expertise and qualifications which includes;
- Electrical Trades Assistants that have worked in industrial or mining projects
- Overseas Electricians without Grade A License (Hours can be signed off toward securing Grade A Electrical License for international candidates)

Remuneration
Depending on past work experience, technical expertise and qualification pay rates will vary from;
- $34.00 to $40.00 Per Hour (Depending on Experience)
