The Client
For the last 20 + years, our client has been providing specialized working at height safety products and services to a wide variety of industries including the Construction, Building Management, Mining, Oil & Gas, Government, Heavy Industry and Manufacturing.
Catering for small to large companies with capabilities to supply one off products, through to a comprehensive service including on-site consultation, design of height safety systems, in-house manufacturing, on site installation and annual inspection and reporting.
A large part of our client’s business is in design, manufacturing and installation of height access systems such as ladders, roof walkways and hatches. Due to rapid growth, our client is seeking a Qualified Carpenter to join their team and work on an ABN on a piece rate basis.
The Role
Based in Canning Vale, the work will require candidates to collect the required components from the workshop in Canning Vale and complete on-site installations around the Perth Metro area as distributed by the Project Manager. The role will be working off rough plans or CAD drawings.
The role would best be described as Construction or Roof Carpentry, where depending on the project the work ranges across installation of the following;
- Working at Heights Safety Equipment
- Roof Access
- Ladders
- Hatches
- Anchor Points
- Static Lines
- Guard Rails
- Walkways
The Candidate
We are seeking a versatile carpenter that has at least 1 years’ experience in carpentry and general construction with the ability to work 5 days per week on an ongoing basis. Candidates must have the following:
- ABN
- Work Ute
- Personal Tools
- Extendable Ladder
- Insurance
In addition, we are seeking candidates that are able to meet the following requirements or possess the following personality traits;
- Be Physically Fit & able to carry out regular physical tasks
- Pass regular Drug & Alcohol Screens
- Have full “Ongoing” working rights in Australia – Perm Residents or Citizens
- Have excellent English Communication Skills – Verbal & Written
- Be a team player that enjoys contributing to a shared goal
- Be highly organized and able to prioritize and manage numerous tasks at the same time
- Have a “pro-active” work attitude, possessing initiative and good problem-solving skills
Remuneration
The role is paid on a piece rate basis where the candidate has the opportunity to earn the following:
- 40 hours per week - $2,500 - $3,000
- 50 hours per week - $3,500 - $4,000
- 60+ hours per week - $4,500 - $5,500
